With the subs I have in my 156 the whole rear end of the car rattle does anyone know what the hell is it that is rattling so I can get some Dynamat or such to kill some of it as it is wrecking my head.

Is this audible from inside the car, or only outside?

Likely culprits include:
*air-exit/pressure-equilibrating vent: ?bottom right side of boot, exiting behind/under right side of bumper
*number plate

I had nothing audible from inside the car (ie: nothing that the subbass didn't totally mask).

:)

I had this problem on my GTA - turned out to be the plastic trim panel at the very rear of the boot. Dynamat damped the metal panel and made the whole thing more solid, but I then needed to insert some acoustic foam to stop the plastic trim vibrating. YMMV!

Seems to be just the whole boot rattling ie sides and upper parts of it. I have the whole floor dynamatted I may do more of the side panels etc

It seems to be better since I got the box built.
