I think they were purged in the Great Alfa Dealership re-shuffle, mid-nineties.

A lot of the smaller dealers couldn't afford the new corporate and showroom branding obligations thay had to take on in the mid-nineties.. and so lost their franchises. A few are still goinh, selling Kia and the like... but plenty others seem to have quickly folded without the shelter of a main brand franchise.

It's a pity because a lot of these dealers were old-school, friendly family firms..

Yeah so i gather Ralph.

So unfortunate what the surviving dealers became too - perhaps it was a curse from the days of Daihatsu association before Fiat dragged the UK business up to Slough
