hi on my 57 plate , the on off/ volume control knob on the left is illuminated with a circular light around it. Should the knob on the right also be illuminated with a ring around it ?

No. The little arrows light when the unit is on but there is no ring.

THANKS quadrofoglio I just had one of those moments when i looked at the radio and thought something didnt look right.

maybe there is something but it wasnt that.
