Hi specialists. Please - I need some advice. I´d like to buy a new clutch. My car is remapped and I need stronger clutch for higher torque. The best solution I see is to have single mass flywheel and clutch with springs. Does anybody have this conversion set? What about experiences? Where to buy it? Please send links. Thanks in advance :)

Clutch Specialists Manufacturer and Supplier of Handmade Clutch Kits

Try CG motorsport for good uprated clutches at good prices. TBH with just a remap the DMF will be fine. I use an organic clucth from these guys. Lots of other people recommend them too. There are conversions about but I can't think of teh companies currently. JS tuning is also doing an uprated clutch kit. He is on here as JS_JTD

I've had one of CG's Fast Road clutches in for about 12 months now and can thoroughly recommend it, I too had slipping issues following a remap. DMF is original.

All the best

Also check out AHM website, they offer up-rated clutches for remapped 1.9 JTD. Had mine done and it copes very well. I did not change the DMF and it has done nearly 60K miles no problem.

We are now offering 1.9 JTD 8v & 16v clutch upgrade, solid fly wheel with GTA clutch. We have had it in one of our courtesy cars for about six months and it makes a big difference to performance

One of the advantages is that if the car ever needs a clutch replacement in the future it is a standard easy to get part

£750 inc VAT fitted

Or with quaife diff fitted £1300 inc (rather than Q2)

I have seen that

The 1.9 16v diesel has exactly the same gearbox other then bell housing shape and final ratio as the 3.2 GTA and that has a solid flywheel, if that box can survive with the power and toque of our 3.8 conversion it can handle a remapped diesel

Ned
so a Q2 diff can go in 16v diesel 156?

Hi, will the GTA clutch fit in the 2.5l model without modifications?
My clutch chudders alot and slips a little so have to replace it and skim the flywheel

How much are the parts alone?

I've just bought a clutch from you Ned but I have a feeling my DMF could be knackered, would a solid flywheel conversion be cheaper than a new DMF/clutch?
