looking through a review of the 1.6 147 the reviewer said

"A testament to the baby Alfa's roadholding prowess is that it posted an identical laptime around our handling circuit as the much more powerful but understeer-afflicted Alfa 156 2,5 V6".

i dont know how big the test circuit is but that is pretty impressive

If the circuit is short, full of tight turns and not so much straights, the smaller and lighter 147 would have an advantage over the bigger and heavier V6. Or maybe the tester just can't drive.
