Just bought a new one, Forgot to change it at the last service.. Where's it live, and is it DIY? :D

could be totally wrong here but i think its inside the tank - weird i know!

if that's your gtv in the pic it appears to be a phase 2 and I am sorry to say I am almost 100% its in the tank think its connected to the sender unit! Notice I said almost 100%!

have you tried a search on here I am sure someone else must have asked the same question especially if its in the tank as they wouldn't have been able to find it!!!

I'm sure there no servicable fuel filters on the GTV/Spider.

On the Petrol 156, only the JTS got a servicable fuel filter.

I think you are right David - I am sure the only filter on it is inside the tank.

Later 2 litre TS and 3 litre V6 as part of fuel level sender. 2 litre V6 TB separate filter. Earlier versions appear to have filter underneath the car according to the manual.

still not managed to get to it - as it's attached to the sender, can it be changed on the drive? Axle stands and ramps waiting..

If it is the tank example it is through the floor under the rear seats. There is an access panel.

not going to attempt it until I get back from the Meet, but it can't be harder than removing the inlet manifold.. :thumbs:

I'v just got my first GTV - 2.0 Lusson Phase 2 -absolutley superb, the sound, the handling....but getting back to your question. According to the local Alfa dealer and my Alfa specialist the fuel filter is not a routine service item.

on mine (at least according to the book) it gets done at 48k and 96k - mine had the 96k service done but I forgot about the filter.. doh!

Hi guys !
Same problem when I tried to change the fuel filter . Couldn't find it ! I have a 2001 GTV MK 2 .
You don't have a servicable fuel filter...
