In the process of sorting out the insurance for my new GTV V6. Admiral understood the exhaust, teledial alloy and remap mods, However things slowed down when it came to the Q2 diff.

Spent half hr explaining what a Q2 diff does (its not a suspension mod even though it improves handling!)..but have now been referred to the specialist dept.

Can someone please tell me what mod does the Q2 diff come under?

Its a limited slip differential. Surely someone in their insurance dept has a bit of a clue about cars?

Greenlight wouldnt quote until I have had the car for a yr. :wow:
That's on the basis of you having a powerful car for one year first. It's like their way of making sure you dont buy a V6 and then write it off.

Does the Q2 count as modification? It was an Alfa option ...
It was only ever factory fitted in some 1.9 16v JTDM models, so in a 3.2 V6 I would say yes.

These cars are more for a specialist insurer. Your quote me happy type insurer is not where you want to go IMO. The specialists give club discounts, limited mileage discounts, agreed valuations.

I'm currently with Classic Line, but will be calling Adrian Flux come renewal.
