Well, that's it. The time has come to put my beloved GTA out to pasture and enjoy a more pampered life than she has been used.
For the last 3 years, she has been used as a daily driver covering at least 400 miles a week and now, at the grand old milege of 112,000 miles, the time has come for us to part lanes and find someone who will pamper and give her the attention and care that I can't.
I have toyed with the idea of keeping her for the weekend and track days but with no garage and even less time I would rather that she goes to a good home and continue to be looked after as I have since I bought her.
Over the years I have upgraded to the Q2, 330 grooved and drilled discs, upgraded the speakers, Bluetooth hands free and i-pod dock and generally replaced and fixed anything that was needed. I have never been let down by her and put that down to regular used and regular servicing. Used as a daily driver has given me so much fun on monotimous journeys that I dread having to move to a 'sensible' car at the end of this month. :(
I don't know how to link the Auto Trader advert into this thread, but it's out there. However, I would prefer it to go to someone who is generally an Alfa person, so I would certainly be willing to drop the price if the asking came from someone here. That way I could rest assured that I know she will be truely looked after. I'd hate to think that all the effort and money I put into her would be wasted on 'an unbeliever'
If anyone is interested or knows someone who wants to get on the GTA ladder, please PM me. It would make my day knowing that she will be looked after.

I'm sat here eyeing the thing up right now. I want it just for the pure pleasure of being in one again, doing what it does best. I still miss mine over a year later.

But alas I cannot. Garage already occupied and never enough time to get to work on that either.

Thanks for the feedback guys......although it doesn't help my motivation to commit to a sale!!!!

I know that if I keep the GTA it will eat me up that I'm not using it enough but damn, I love this car. Just drove into work on empty roads (it is 6:30am) and as per usual, I smile all the way in

Thanks willttqs for putting the link up, much appreciated, and yes Larne, it certainly was a double take at the Duxford meet....our colour certainly is in the minority.
I agree with Silvervalver that the mileage shouldn't matter. I can honsetly say that my GTA is running better than ever at the moment. Had the front nearside wheelbearing replaced about two months ago and, touch wood, there is now nothing that needs sorting :p
I know that, if I do sell her, I'll be moaping around the house for weeks....no make that months.....maybe mudhut and I can set-up a self help group for 'Depressed former GTA owners'
Anyway, thanks guys

It's not even run in yet ;)

Makes me laugh when people go for low mileage cars running original suspension etc.

These gtas make fantastic high mileage motors. Had loads of passengers ask if the mileage is right.... Then I show them the wear on the drivers seat bolster ;)

123k miles at the mo on mine
