These Alfettas are a suprisingly nice car to cruise around in. Quiet and refined. Handling charactaristics have more in common with a Citroen 2CV than a Sud/Sprint though.
Very few left now as they were usually as rotten as a pear. I believe the model which followed this one - the Alfetta Gold Cloverleaf - was the first production car to use Variable Valve Timing which gave it better torque and great economy. A chap in our village with one used to get 40+ mpg!
The idea led to Honda VTEC. BMW Vanos and all the other systems used these days.
