Right please excuse me and my specialness -

Is there a difference between the two piece pollen filter and one piece? (before any of you guys be clever, yes I realise one is in 2 pieces and the other is in 1 piece) :lol:

Mine is a pre-facelift so can have the single piece filter. I only ask because I would like to know if there's a difference in performance between the two because there is definately a price difference and i'm a wee bit tight on money at the mo.

As I understand the two piece was designed purely to facilitate the fitting.

Totally different.

Old (pre-2002 interior facelift) single zone A/C have a single filter under the plastic panel at the base of the windscreen.
Later (from the 2002 interior facelift) dual zone A/C have the pair of filters under the dash on the passenger side.

Two-piece is for post-facelifts, and is two-piece to make fitting easier. If the original one is still in it, it may be a one-piece as fitted in the factory.

Pre-facelifts are easy to fit, so are all one-piece (afaik).

Yup - when i changed the PF in my facelift (once i'd found it :cheese: ) it was a one piece that came out. And i can fully understand why the replacement is in two halves!

Thanks guys, thought it might just be a case of getting a 1 piece so thats good as its cheaper.
