Excuse the alarming title but do alfa owners attract more attention from the police?

I've had my GT for 2 days and just got pulled over for speeding (a little more than 30 in a 30 limit). Happy to say I got away with just a b0ll0cking and he let me go but in 15 years of driving I've never been stopped or had so much as a point on my license!

i have a sneaky feeling you were pulled for speeding not because of the brand of car you drive :)

+1

I have never been pulled in my 147 in the 33months of ownership so don't think its because of the car, just how you drive it ;)

Now if the plods had found out you did not have a TV Licence, they would have arested you on the spot, the car would have been sent to the crusher and you my friend would be looking at a 25 year stretch with no sign of parole.

If anything, I've always had a respecful nod off plod when being Sussed doing something naughty.

Used to be a lot worse with blocked number plates though, especially at ANPR road blocks & ports.

I got pulled in my 156 a couple of months ago... I was told 'You're a bit young to be driving that' and had my time wasted while they went all over it with a fine tooth comb.

I'm 24 - and not particularly baby faced.

T***ers.

only been pulled over once in the 21 years since i passed my test, and that was in a bog-standard focus 1.6. if you're 17 in a mitsubishi evo then its fairly obvious why they've pulled you, but 24 in a 156? nah, they pulled you because you were breaking the speed limit

Nope never got pulled over just because its an Alfa In fact have been waved on on numerous occasions just because it was an Alfa !:).

I have driven over here in my last car without an NCT (MOT) cert displayed and because my car is always clean they think its newer than it is . I didn't display the NCT cert because I wouldn't embarress me car

I've been pulled over countless times over the years. My MkII Escort was a magnet for them, but then I was 18 and it was a bit edgy. My Capri attracted them too, especially when it was in primer. This included one who regaled me with tales of driving his mate's 3.0S around Skelmersdale's many roundabouts with the **** out, long before we imported drifting from Japan.

Can't say the alfa has had any adverse attention from them.
