Hi all,

i am new to this site and my first post. I have recently bought a second hand 147, 1.6 T.spark Lusso (its a 51 plate if that helps) and i have discovered a few problems...

1) the rear passenger doors, one of them remains open (all the time!) and the other is permanently locked! and both cannot be opened from inside..

the rear door issue is a real pain, any passengers in the back are locked in, and i have to get out drivers seat and open the door from outside, and the exit is only through 1 door, (the one that remains permanently unlocked).. so this is urgent as its a security issue!!

2) rear light and front light.. the rear light (on right side) it doesnt work.. it comes on when i apply the brakes but doesnt turn on otherwise, i have tried changing the bulb but still no luck...

similiar problem with the front light.. excuse my explanation, i am new to cars but with the front light its specifically the small thin bulb, which is the one that isnt working, again no luck with replacing the bulb... please help!!

Please any suggestions how i could fix it and possible costs involved...

.. and i guess the second issue with lights is urgent cos its a safety issue... you wouldnt belive it but when i went to buy the car, during the inspections i didnt event bother opening the rear doors and the seller mentioned nothing about it.. SMH!!

also my key dont work i.e. i cant use the use the buttons to lock/ unlock the car.. which i didnt mind at the time.. so currently manually unlocking the car..

ok an update, i tried resetting the electrics, by disconneting battery for 10 mins, and it rectified the rear light problem i.e. it started working, but front light (i now know its the dim light) still wont come on.

and no luck with central locking.. altho the door that remains open (all the time!) had a child lock on it (which i discovered after reading through manual) so now i can open that door from inside too.. but other door still remains closed permanently, also to add a detail, the door flap seems jammed, you cant even pull it..

ive shown it to mechanic, he feels its the whole locking mechanism for both doors, so need to be replaced.. now the challenge is to find the mechanism, so any of you guys know what would be the cheapest option here? where can i get cheap both rear door lock mechanism (2nd hand?).. pls help!

ps. im a new driver... so pls excuse my apparant lack of knowledge on cars

and last issue.. i need rear wiper arm.. (its been snapped off).. again cheapest where i can get one from?
