Passenger footwell, near the heater unit.

Remove the carpeted side panel ( 2 screws ) and look for a hole in the carpet under the heater unit. One of the wires poking through the hole will lead to the connector.

It's the white/red wire that crosses the green connector in this photograph ( but on the other side in your car ) -

A bit of cross purposes here I think. The ECU itself is indeed at the base of the passenger 'A' pillar on the P1 TS, but the diagnostics connector is behind the carpeted trim under the heater.

The OP asks where the ECU connector is. I took that to mean the diagnostic connector.
