Sorry for the cross-link to another Forum, but I thought you people would like to see this magnificent 1966 1600 race winning Alfa Romeo GTA.

The car show was held this past weekend at Meadow Brook grounds in Rochester (just outside of Detroit), Michigan, USA.

Lots of nice cars there - from early American cars to Duesenbergs to Bugattis to Bizzarinis to Alfa...

Have about 750 pics of very high quality, but cannot find a place to post them all, so have to do it 3MB's at a time.

Alfanick in Toronto, CDN.

Yes, there is!

Here you go...and some more... :D
Hopefully, this works - not exactly familliar with uploading pictures on this Forum, plus they're relatively tiny in size to conform to the 100kb limit.

I will post more of them on the other Forum where the limit is 3MB. Will let you know...

Well, believe it or not, one was made by Chrysler for a UK customer!!!
Only a handfull were made of that year as convertibles with auto tranny, and two were for export. Have no idea where the other ended up.

The engine being 426 cubic inches in size (nearly 7 litres) is a monster, and is larger than some of the European cars... :cheese:

It is thought to be THE most valuable, and prescious of all American muscle cars ever. HEMI is THE king in many respects in North America.
Once you hear one at full thunder, you know why - the ground shakes when they just idle, but when they're on the move, it's scary!

What's that parked behind the GTA? Looks fairly savage.

It's the Ferrari 512 M, I think...

Those intakes are courtesy of Lucas fuel injection.
Remember seeing them racing at Mosport, Canada in the early seventies.
Not particularly fast - used to get blown away by Porsches, McLarens, and UOP Shadows in club events or Can-Am racing.
