Date is 11th of September as planed from the beginning of the year.

I'll call the guy from the 500 Club ( old Fiat 500's ) to start arranging the meet points and destinations.

For now, I just want to inform you all about an event taking place on that date, and details as well as an email will be sent to all of you :)

Don't take this very seriously,
I just throw this as an idea :D
Since we didn't do the italian car day, is it possible to combine it with this event?
I mean, instead of Alfa Romeo/Fiat 500 event we could do it as Italian Car Day Event.
This is just a suggestion, if you think it is not a good idea is fine by me :)

Its a great idea, but this time its not "our" event.

The 500 club had planned this a couple of months before we sat and agreed on the events of the year.

Pavlos and I met with the 500 club at Browns restaurant, and they agreed that we could attend to this event of theirs as a club. We thought it would be nice to have a relationship with other Italian car club members, and they are good guys as well :)

I called Costantinos today, their president, and asked him if everything is ok with this event.
The event will take place on the above date, but details of where we will be going and how will be decided later on.
As I understand, this event wont need much planning, but they had in mind to plan it in detail after they come back from their holidays - around the 25th of August.

He will call me tonight to talk some more, and I will post what we talked about here :)

I really like the idea with the 500s but the big question is if at the 11th September the heat wave will still be present.
Let us see their venue place.

Nicola, the heat will probably start settling down a bit by then, but I dont think its going to be the ideal temp.
However, its going to be worth it :)

I just got off the phone with Costantinos, the president of the 500 club.

What they usually do at these events, is get together and drive towards a mountain picnic area. Everyone takes their own food - sandwiches, things from a bakery etc, and they spend a few hours at the picnic area.

The place is not yet known, as its a more ...loose...event than others. The area will be announced by end of next week.

The high temp on the way will make even more desireable the beer at destination.....

I think that this event will be a big success because most of the kids and usually wifes like the little fiats. So, I think this will prove a good family event. It will also be a good chance for us to meet and talk with people that strive in some case to keep their cars alive, despite the moanings coming from inside our own homes ;)

Hey there alfa friends, I wont be coming to this upcoming event or any other event for a few months because I have now moved to the USA where there is enough electricity! No just kidding, moved out for college. So the gtv is stored up for now. Also I want to thank George for giving me a ride in his F360. Oh yeah, I did see my first alfa here but it is not worth posting a picture of it. It was a 164 in bad looking condition.
Have fun on the event with the Fiats.
