Hello All.
At a recent Alfa day at Brooklands I overheard a conversation about using a ferrari 360 throttle body on a Busso V6. Does this mod have any merrit? And if so, how can two almost identical looking throttle bodies be so different? Does the ferrari one react quicker or have a wider apperture to allow for better air flow?

Do a search on here there's tonnes of info. But on a 2.5 it's a fair guess the throttle body is already too big.

My Maths says that 70mm is fine for an engine up to 3.8 litres but standard is 68mm Ferrari is 76mm and a decent post here of Porsche 78mm but so far i,ve seen no proven dyno backed figures to suggest that there is a definable positive increase in power or throttle response

Maxi is correct with no figures that prove its much better. But never the less i still got one as i got it cheap.

I got a F430 TB and when you tell people this , It makes it faster then having go faster stripes :biglaugh:

Only thing serious i can add is , That if it is to perform better you would need a plenum with a bigger throat if not your dragging air through a bigger hole to just be restricted by a smaller hole.

Edit.. I went and took a photo of the 2 so you can see they are a fair amount bigger..
