Had the Brera set up this afternoon by Peter Cambridge, the chap behind the Brera S & other Prodrive projects / race cars.

Home - Peter Cambridge & Associates Limited

He said my Brera was the best standard set up he'd seen but was still able to work his magic and now the car is sharper than ever before:cool:

He's a friend of our AROC section but will do bespoke set ups for anyone.

Cost was £100 + VAT and was done at Protyre Warwick.

Well happy, as was GTleigh when his Brera had the same treatment:thumbs:

Cheers,

Very interesting and a great price for something like that. I take it he just played around with the toe and camber etc.

Great idea.

I have to say the I am astonished how good my car now feels:cool:

It's so poised and controllable in the twisties and the rear bias can really be felt:wow:

I think the phrase is throttle steer:D

The gear they use is Hunter but uses cameras & checkerboards on each wheel along with lasers etc. It looks like something out of War of the Worlds!!

It produces graphics with angles for both before & after adjustment.

Peter really knows his stuff too:thumbs:

Uber happy.

Good to hear!!

Sounds like real fun now.

I'm still looking to get my GT's coilovers setup correctly, I assume he has the skills/hardware to do this??

Simon? I feel a little cheeky here, but would you mind me eaves dropping your name if I was to (finally!) go ahead and get the work done?? I'm sure we would appreciate the positive feedback too.

Thanks.

Has Peter worked on it or did he just drive it:confused:

What does this offer over going to the local place to get the tracking checked, which is something I need doing?

Is it worth driving from Nottingham to Warwick to get it done?

He adjusts all parameters & does this bespoke, not necessarily adhering to factory spec.

Sever mates have had the job done on a variety of cars and the difference in feel is much improved.

The gear is Hunter but uses checker boards attached to each wheel & a laser guided camera set up to precisely locate the wheels & settings. It can even detect damages wheels etc.

Will be interesting to see how the tyres wear:eek:

I've got mine booked in at Nottingham Wheel Allignment on Saturday, will let you know how i get on!
Well, I can fully recommend Nottingham Wheel Allignment:thumbs:
Great guys and a super piece of kit £40K's worth:eek:

Mine was toed slightly in @ -0deg12' which was just on the limit of the specified range.
They set them to parallel for me and also the rear camber was well out of speck and they sorted that also.
I got them to swap fronts to back for me whilst i was there.

The car now seems a lot less skitish and planted on the road.

:D

What did they charge you?

I assume they didn't use Alfa's factory settings?

£48 + VAT for allignment & £20 for swap overs

He said he has had a lot of 159's/Brera's in from as far afield as Liverpool.

I told them what i wanted the front set up to, as for the rears, i'm not sure where they got their spec from....

All i know for sure is that it's a damn sight better now!
