Hi all,

I've just picked up a late-2004 1.9JTDm which I am most excited about, particularly as it was at a reasonable price. I bought it knowing it needed a PAS pump but am wonedering if the pump is the same across the range or whether Alfa have been very special indeed and have a unique pump for this particular engine spec, just to torment me.

Any part numbers/which cars have the same pump would be great, I am happy to put a second hand pump on.

Well, a day off and a bit off google skills has revealed I can get a new pump, not a genuine alfa part mind, for £110 delivered, happy days. As much of a swine as it may be, am planning to drop the sub-frame and alternator and change the swine over with a couple of spanner happy mates who work for beer and chips. Bit disappointed at the local alfa specialist who hasn't given me a price but hey, their loss.

Cannot wait to pick it up today, most excited, have wanted a 156 for a fair whil, just neer had the balls to take the plunge before. Wish me luck!!!
