Ocado seems fine for us -
Went to Lidl this morning. Just wanted a loaf of bread that they didn't have yesterday. Shelves were still bare. So then I realised I was trapped. The only open till lanes had people waiting and the empty till lanes had barriers across. The entrance doors are automatic and only open if approached from outside.
Just cough like a ******* on 60 a day - everyone will be only too keen to get out of the way and let you out.

We're starting to see the initial benefit of shorter opening hours, modest rationing and semi-enforced social distancing. It was better today than any christmas run in recent memory.

Hopefully this becomes the new normal.

I went to the chemist today. They have a sign on the window that read no more than two persons at anyone time. When I was inside another person entered, then a female with I assume her daughter entered too which caused a bit of a panic amongst the staff and the other person that entered.
I left and went to Lidil which was fully stocked two days ago. I arrived to security only allowing one in one out, for reasons being no more than 20 people allowed to enter. I left for Aldi 1.5 miles away. The same thing with people queuing 2 meters apart. Whilst inside the shopping experience wasn’t very nice. I want my life back.

What scares me is when. I’m starting to feel mentally ill, with mild paranoia

In other news - getting elderly parents to GET REAL about this situation is becoming a daily chore.
I'm taking their keys away and bloody locking them inside their house. I asked my mum today what shopping I could get for them and got the reply 'it's alright. We only need a few bits, we'll get them in the morning'
No you fucking won't.

Keep talking on here, keep engaging in threads. Do try not to be confrontational though. Search through treads of other marques not just Brera. Talk talk talk. We will all be getting cabin fever to some degree at some stage. With all the time we now have there is plenty of time to talk about our favourite cars, hang in there, you are not alone.

Just to add to Top Down's post, if you can manage to do some exercise, please do. It really does work for making one feel better. A daily 20 minute brisk walk will release some endorphins - the 'feel good' hormones.

We (my family ) are doing the Joe Wicks work out everyday (9.00 live YouTube...but obviously you can do it anytime).....makes me feel better, mentally and physically. I'm also lucky to have a reasonable size garden to keep me busy and live on a beach in a quiet area. I went for an hour walk on it yesterday...only saw one lady and her dog from range. Planning to take the metal detector down there later...no danger of cross contamination. And of course if you are not lucky enough to be able to get into the fresh air.....there is always internet porn!

Thanks for your support Guys. I’m going to drive out and go for a walk I think today.
It is good to know you can reach out to others when in need.

Police stopping people at checkpoints if pointless - trip to country/beach.
I’m not going to far as I’m only supposed to be exercising. Roughly 5 miles away to the Yorkshire Moors. I can walk there I hope as it’s a National Park

You're not supposed to be travelling to do exercise. The idea is you go for a walk, run, cycle etc straight from home and then straight back to home.

The whole thing is confusing. I never caught wind of any T&C’s in part of what is or isn’t prohibited of how one must exercise.

I do understand I’m allowed in public parks. Which I may need to travel to

Local parks are fine, but travelling to a National Park isn't. On the local news last night it showed police randomly stopping and questioning people heading to the Lakes. Also showed people walking their dog there in the middle of nowhere and saying it's not the thing to be doing, but I think it's mainly about lots of people having the same idea and thus lots of people congregating in the same area. You're better off just keeping it local.

The best (worst?) excuse I've heard for being out around these parts is telling a police officer he was moving a bee hive. Told to go home.....

Sorry, should have said earlier, it's supposed to be 'essential' travel only - hence the clamp down on people doing day trips to beauty spots.

There's that many things that you can/can't do, many of which have changed less than a week ago as well, it's easy to forget what's what!
