my wife has picked up 2 long thin paint scratches on her black hyundai. it dwn to the gray paint. is it possible to get a product to at least make them less visible without having to go to a garage. would a professional valeting help.

If they're on one panel you might find that one of those mobile Chip fixers can repair it for reasonable wedge.

Sorry if I state the obvious... Depending on how deep these scratches are, first you could try using a good wax (some remove light scratches, supposedly), and if that doesn't work, a good ol'polish, then wax.

Sorry, I just realize you said you can see the primer (i.e. the grey paint). I would still try a gentle cleaning, and a good wax, then if it doesn't work, cleaning, polish, wax. It won't take you long.

for a cheap fix you could try rubbing some of the old bumper back to black in or at push, some boot polish.
