I see loads of people on here asking where is a good Alfa garage near them so thought I'd tell of a good one (probably the best one) in ox!

Palmer & Philips off the ring road near the Mini factory (Peterley Road, Cowley, Oxford, OX4 2TZ Tel: 01865 749600)

I've been taking my Alfa there for a couple of years as they only work on Alfa & Fiats and they are a great garage, know the cars inside out, do great work & at good prices. If anyone has an Alfa in the area I'd recommend them every time! :)

I have heard of them.
They do have a good reputation, but I haven't used them myself.

I am fairly sure some of the guys there used to work for Hallewell on the cowley road, which used to be an Alfa dealer.

went there with a complicated electrical fault(turned out to be burnt out wiring under the drivers seat linked to the heated seats switch) and they werent interested.lots of erming and sharp intakes of breath,in the end took it to alfa aid in maidenhead and they diagnosed and repaired the fault in two days.even got a courtesy car at short notice:thumbs:

I'm not sure either. I took a GTV Spider there and wasn't impressed, so went to Middle Barton Garage who are fantastic if not your typical Alfa Indie but I have to say brilliant mechanics.

Had not considered them.

Rumour is that there will be a new Alfa dealership built off the A40 at Eynsham next to the Tesco garage...

I am gonna try Blade at Cheltenham tomorrow for a low mileage service - speaking to the service dept they have had a lot of custom from Oxford Alfa owners recently. Anyone here?

Where did you hear about the potential for an Oxfordshire based main dealer? I'm currently looking at getting a 159 SW as a company car but am a bit put off by the fact there are no main dealers within miles - I'm sure the lease company will insist I user a main dealer not an independent.

Also has anyone tried the Alfa/Lancia/Fiat specialist on the A44 between Woodstock and Oxford?

I have used them, they specialise in fiat coupes and are called Solo Italia

They changed My Fiat Cambelt, although the original estimate of the cost was way off.

An Alfa Dealer at Eynsham would be great, I drive past there every day on the way home from work.

Apparently Alfa were turned down for planning permission at one site in Eynsham, but the site next to Tesco's is looking more positive - so my many car dealership friends tell me!! (I have about 20 friends that are car salesmen in Oxford).
