bit of an up date to how my ownership of my first alfa is going
thought this would also help people looking to buy a mito

8,000miles and 7months of ownership
car is runing great now its got some miles on it fuel consumption now seems steady at 46mpg around town and 60mpg on the motorway at 70mph

the glove box started to rattle but a quick squirt of lubricant:lol: soon sorted that

touch wood the car has started first time in these very cold mornings
and seems very well built no trim or rattles causing any bother

seems very reliable todate

was very worried about all the bad press alfas get but very very happy with it
Much of it unwarranted to be fair - especially as the brand currently is only running with 3(and a half) models.

Top gear website still has "But ultimately there's nothing to love about matchbox-sized cabins, washboard ride, jellyfish handling or the unforgiving view from the hard shoulder." when talking about alfa. Magazine itself is no more complementary. I think the editor of topgear's missus had an affair with an alfa dealer or something

most recent JD power survey has Alfa in joint 10th most satisfactory/reliable manufacturer - along with VW and not far from Audi and BMW.
