Hey guys,

Here'S my problem, About a month ago i gave my a mechanic i have used a few times a 147 selespeed to change a clutch bearing but he keeps experiencing the same problem.
He put a new clutch bearing in and now when you put the gear box back on everything seems fine but when you bolt it up the gear box arm jams SOLID you cant move it at all but if you realise the bolts you can move the arm, i've changed a box before with the help of a mate and used all the old stuff even the old bearing and didnt have a problem dont get me wrong it was a crappy job hence the reason i didnt want to do it again and dont think i could do it on my own.

He's had the box off loads of times changed the clutch with a spear but still know joy, im shore one of you guys will embarass me/him.\

Any help will be much apriciated

Just a careful question : did he put the clutch plate in with the right side towards the pressure plate ?

You should be able to buy a clutch bearing separate from alfa.

You should use an Alfa Specialist. :(

i know but its shouldnt be the hardest thing to do a cam change yer but changing a clutch/bearing shouldnt need to much brains more experience, he has came to the conclusion that its the "clutch bowl" lol should get the results today.

IF THERE IS ANYONE IN LONDON THAT IS GOOD AT WORKING ON ALFA'S THATS FANCIES SOME WORK PLEASE PM ME WITH YOUR DETAILS ATLEAST ONE BIG JOB A WEEK.

I should be happy well i am abit!

I finally got a call from the mechanic saying i've done as much as i can do bring some sele oil and the laptop, so i flew over there top it up with sele oil ran final calab then just as i thought it was finished i got the dreaded 3 beeps SELESPEED failure. I then read the codes off the top of my head "clutch speed sensor" discribes a loose connection/faulty wiring etc so took it out for a run and could only select 1 and 2 and reverse. then pluged it in again then another fault come up and the other went i cant remember what it was.

Then i realised that was also OVER HEATING but it wasnt before lol after that i closed the bonnet and agreed to leave it till tomorrow.

ANY IDEAS LOL ? ? ?
