Hi guys,

I'm an owner of Alfa 155 1.8 8v. I bought it some half an year ago and since i have it bar meter on the dashboard is not working. I got the the oil pressure sensor and took it the other day to the service. They told me its not the right one its the oil pressure sender i need to replace (the smaller one near the oil filter). After they replaced that one nothing happened (of course), the bar was still dead. Then i was told that the intake manifold is replaced and this one misses something and thats why it not working. Is it possible that intake manifold has to do somthin with it?

Thanks

I had the same problem as you - the gauge on the dashboard never worked, when I bought the car. After reading some threads in the Bulgarian alfa forum, I found out that the oil pressure sensor of the car, is the same as an oil pressure sensor of the Soviet VAZ. It costs around 7-8 leva in Bulgaria, which is approximately $5-6. And it actually works pretty good. I see that you are from Serbia, and I guess that as in Bulgaria, you still have some shops that sell parts for VAZ. So I would recommend you to try with that one, and see if it works. If not, it is cheap, so its not a big deal :)
P.S. I forgot to mention, that you will just need to make an adapter, to decrease the thread from 14x1.5 to 10x1 , and after that you should not have any problems.

I hope it helps :)
