As the title says, when fitting the hoses back up to the oil cooler, is there air pressure within the pipes and cooler.
If so how is this avoided.
Having had my car up a few weeks, I am finally getting round to connecting the hoses and it just occurred to me that it must stand to reason that there may be trapped air once the hoses are all connected. In which case, the oil may well be forced out of the weakest point!!
Is this just an unnecessary worry?

Thanks

if it was my car, i would disconnect the injectors, and turn it over on the key for like 10 seconds before starting.

then start it up and it will be fine.

you dont need to worry about trapped air, it will bleed out once oil goes round :)

Crank it over until the oil light goes out .. it might take a few seconds longer than usual.. re connect the injectors
