I suggest that we all get together on Sunday 2nd October.
So that we can get the maximum attendees possible, I'm going to leave it to you the members to decide where we meet and what we do!

Between now and then we will have The Norfolk Gala Day, however the October meet will be something more AlfaOwner exclusive.

So get your ideas down in this thread - It's your region too! :D

Good idea, but as stated in the thread regarding the Norfolk Gala Day, I'm not prepared to handle any money or deposits and unfortunately that is going to be a prohibiting factor in organising something like that.
Fair enough Phil. Have you thought about contacting Lotus about a visit to Hethel? Have been a couple of times and been around the factory and their excellent museum/workshop . They might even be keen to show off their new test track. Won't now be able to make that weekend myself though as I've a significant birthday just before then.

I'd be happy to underwrite it Phil - so let's keep it as an option - you organise (if people want it) and I'll do the financing.

It's great to see some ideas coming in. Thanks for all the suggestions - keep them coming!

I hadn't even thought of doing it that way wo0dy, that is probably the best way to implement it.

If we were to do a Karting meet, I'd like to do it to the west of the region so that we could hopefully join up with one of the other AO groups.

I've just had a look at the Karting Nation Peterborough website and it would appear that each member can go to the website to pay individually. That will be most helpful!

May I suggest the Exclusive Grand Prix package, which is £56.99pp for:

  • Exclusive use of the track with your friends, family or colleagues.
  • After a 20 minute safety briefing, you'll have a few laps of practice before;
  • 5 heats of 8 laps.
  • The top 8 drivers go through to the grand final of 12 laps, with trophies and a podium presentation for the top 3.
  • Top Notch Karting Action!

What do you think?
