Sorry to start a new thread for this but can anyone tell me if an 02 plate 156 gta will be obd2?
I can't find any information on the car that tells me

There are no OBD2 Alfa at all.
OBD2 was a std for USA from 1996, Alfa withdrew from the USA before then.

EOBD is similar, but different, and applies to all EU market Petrol cars from Jan 2001 (Diesel later I think).
So your GTA is EOBD.

Thank you for your answer, basically I have purchased a Bluetooth code reader but it is not finding the ecu, so I'm thinking it is either faulty or I have ordered the wrong type, thanks again

think you need an alfa lead set as there is a slightly different pin configuration..

I use these ... with code reader, bluetooth and multiscan..

Slight complication in that Maxiscan will still refer to it as OBDII as mine does..........but works fine on my 2003 GTV.

I was hoping to use it with the torque app, I'll order a different Bluetooth plug and see if that works, the one I have just received is giving the same error (cannot find ecu) on my 54 plate bmw also.
