Following on from Wrinx's rust nuts, as noted in 'Bruised Speedlines' - has anyone restored their silver shineyness to their wheelnuts?

I tried mine a couple of months back - wire brushed them down (wire brush thingy in electric drill) and sprayed them silver. I think it took about 2 weeks for them to start going orange again!

Any ideas?
