If anyone's going along to ITCAM on Sunday, we're doing a convoy down from the North East - meeting at Newton Park Services, just off the A1 by Darlington (junction 59) DL1 3NL, at 9:30am, and setting off for Newby Hall at around 10. Anyone is welcome to join us.
Italian Car and Motorcycle Extravaganza
I think our plan is to get there for 11.30ish, like a lie in on a Sunday

I’ll try, here goes.
Drove Spiderpig around to my Mam & Dad’s on the 25th of May, needed it off the drive because we’re going to get the house roof replaced (scaffold only went up last Friday).
It’s MOT ran out on the 1st of June and due to the joys of being a granddad l haven’t had a chance to do the work it needs to get it retested, it’s now SORNed.
The GT has been tucked away in the lock up for about 18 months since I realised 1 of the cambelt idlers was failing, keep dithering about doing it myself or getting it done properly.
As tends to be the case I’ve either got the time or the money, but not both together. Hopefully there will be budget left once the roof is done and I can get one of them back on the potholes.

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a place to buy a new engine for my Giulietta Cloverleaf on a 12 plate? the Timing belt snapped. So also if anyone knows a good garage that wont rip me off to get it fixed. It's been suggested that this would cost from 2k upto 4k so a new engine might be cheaper? I looked at selling it as it is and i can get about 2k for it so this is just sickening as i spent 30k on it 6 years ago and no end of money spent over the years keeping it on the road + a 1k bill last year for a new turbo! :-(

For anyone who's interested, the next Alfabook/AO Monthly Meet, is on tomorrow night, 2nd August, at the usual venue, Wearside Farm pub near Washington, postcode SR5 3NZ. As always, you're all invited to come along, and it's always great to see new faces.

We're also doing a Coast to coast run on Sunday, 5th August. We'll be meeting up at St Mary's Lighthouse, NE26 4RS, at around 9:30am, and driving across to Silloth on the West coast - with plenty of nice driving roads in between. Weather forecast is good, so should be another great day out.

Not bloody happy.... Dropped of the 159 at QSP Ferryhill for new alternator under RAC warranty. Simon has had it all week, still not started work on it!!!!
Apparently two of the lads have up and left leaving him in the crapper with the work load.... I'm supposed to pick the car up on Friday done and dusted. Yeah right, as if that's going to happen! Maybe the last time I use them after this time to look for another Alfa Indy in the area me thinks.
