Right - got a shopping list and I'm trying to keep costs down. So am looking at feedback on non-Alfa parts I've found on the web and Ebay dealers

I need a new front shock passenger side. Do you HAVE to replace both at the same time, or can I just replace the knackered one? I've seem Monroe Shocks at 75 quid - any good. Are the stansard ones gas?

Front upper and lower wishbones - do you have to replace the whole thing, or can you just change the bushes - if so where do you get them.

Are OMP pads any good? Or Mintex? I've seen Mintex pad and disk kits at 59 quid a pair, which seems a good deal. Are the solid discs OK, or should I go for perforated?

Any of these job particularly hard? I'm reasonably competant with a spanner.

Thanks all:) :)

Are you sure you've seen Mintex disc and pad sets for £59 a pair? I'd expect to pay about £40 for a pair or pads alone and about £70 for a pair of discs.

Re the front shocks: yes they should be replaced in pairs.

Re the wishbones/bushes: yes Powerflex make replacement poly bushes, but they can cost more than new wishbones and the lower ones are a pig to fit.
