Hi there Alfisti,
Has anybody got an idea what causes that schreeching noise after starter motor disengages?
Mine only seems to make that noise after standing for a few days, not when used every day.
The new Auto Italia mentioned replacing the aux. belt which cured the problem on a 145. It does sound a bit like a slipping belt. Anybody had the same cure as them?

I hope fixing that noise doesn't involve removing the starter. I don't know how reach the *&^$ing thing.

Thanks

regards
Jacques

Mine has done it for a couple of years now. Never caused a problem. Only does it intermittantly

Hi Jacques
Mine is doing likewise. I had the tension wheel for the aux. belt changed with helped, but now that it is winter and bloody cold it have reapeared for a few seconds. No worry.

Alfisti regards
Erik
