I've finally got to fully connect the replacement ICS in my 166.
There's a brand new battery and I fitted a good alternator as the old one wasn't charging.
I got the correct code and the ICS works in all modes once the engine is off.
Whether the key is out, or in any position including ignition fully ON (all dash warning lights lit, gauges registering and ready to start) the music,be it radio or CD changer, plays loud and clear but when I start the car the audio seems to mute completely.
There's no DSP in the car and none in the car that the ICS came from as far as I know but nothing can be heard with engine running although as I said, even with the key in the ON position, I have sound.:shoot:
Any ideas would be welcome.

Further investigation shows that when the engine is not running, I have both permanent +12v and switched +12v to the stereo but no switched +23 when the alternator is in action
Could I tap in to a different switched live and use it, leaving the original feed disconnected and isolated?
