This is a bit of a silly question, but...

My 159Ti, '09 2.4 auto, doesn't have an alarm, it seems. Is this an option the original owner could have ordered, or can it be added later?
I'm not keen to put an after market one in, I was just wondering why the flag ship model I have doesn't have one, or can the specified alfa one be fitted....

Can someone set me straight, please?

Well....it doesnt beep when I lock the car , and honestly ...that's it, the doors just clunk to locked.
i see there's a huge thread about deactivating the beeps, but the PO wasn't really technical... so I don't expect that..is there any way i can set it off ...without breaking a window that is :-b ??

Not beeping is hardly a sign that the car does or doesn't have an alarm, if you follow the advice on the beep thread you can get your car to beep...but that won't change if your car does or doesn't have an alarm.

My knowledge, all UK vehicles have an alarm.

Alarms and deadlocks where not standard fit in France.

Alarmed cars have ultrasonic visible in the cabin (oevrhead light cluster)

If it has deadlocks it has the alarm too. (Double tapping the remote
you can hear them lock with a meaty 2nd thunk.)

Sit in the car, double lock it with the fob, move about, that should trigger the alarm if ones fitted.
