hi im new i live in bucks and have just bought a 1998 s reg 156 2.0 tspark veloce (i think as it has the carbon dash and 16" wheels) it went through the mot the day i picked it up from a garage that owned it. it needed a upper wishbone and brake hose to get through and i got it with the mot for the princley sum of 800. i paid extra for the oil and filter to be changed as it had been standing for 8 months or so. it seems ok a little hesitant when cold below 2500 but fine when warm and even though the garage i got it from said they replaced the cam belt and variator anything up to 2 years ago i am going to get a garage in aylesbury to fit a new one next week for peace of mind (a for alfa i think its called). the car is not in bad nick at least nothing a good clean wouldnt sort out it has the odd dink here and there and the rear passenger window motor doesnt work and the cable in the regulator has broken but it has climate so it can stay shut
the wheels make a kind of droning noise (bearing possibly) but these things will get sorted slowly but surely. it hasnt exploded on me yet and my feet havent pushed through the floor flintstone style so it cant be as bad as everyone has been telling me. i know bad cars ive had a petrol freelander and a mk3 diesel mondeo lol. anyway thats me glad to meet you all and heres to keeping fingers crossed. o btw its done 104k miles with a history (of sorts, it was owned by the garage i bought it off) :thumbs:
