Evening all, firstly sorry for the terrible pictures, i will take more tomorrow. Just had my windows tinted yesterday, all five for £75! I had 70% on the front and 45% on the backs so nothing majorly dark but at the same time quite sleek looking. hope the pics can give it justice.

Looks good, but be careful about the front tints, I think you might find that they are illegal.

Although the limit is (I think) to allow 75% of light through for the front window screen, and 70% for the front driver/passenger windows, you'll find that there is already a tint in the standard window, so when you stick a 70% tint on top, it actually lower than the legal requirement.

Not just letting you know so that you steer clear of the local bobby, but if you had an accident and the police are called, this info could be disclosed to the other parties insurance, giving them more of a chance of winning the claim.

I don't know what the window tint is already at, but I do know that Ford Focus's are just legal when they come out the factory, so adding any tint the front makes them illegal.

I doubt you'll ever get pulled up for it unless you go to boy racer meets and rev your engine/race etc, in which case the plod may turn up due to local residents complaining, and issue tickets as a way of getting rid of people; but as mentioned above, watch out for insurance claims.

When I had my back three done, the guy who did it measured the tint on my front one's, and they are at 72%, factory fit.

So you can only legally add a tint that blocks 2% of light onto the mito, which rules out all of the standard tints. As even adding say a 30% tint would combine with the 72% already on there and take it over the 70% legal limit. :)

Exactly my point.

A lot of sellers state that it's a legal tint, which technically it is (by itself) but once added on top of the standard window tint, it makes your cars windows illegal.
