Hello everyone

Here in Australia we were not privileged to receive the GTA with the premium bose system. They all came with standard sound system, which is pretty basic. I got an audio expert company to pull out the head units and all the speakers and add the latest pioneer head unit with GPS and touch screen, new speakers back and front, subwoofer in the back and amplifiers under the seat. The GTA being a small car has turned into a mini on wheel discotheque. It sound fantastic and is dam loud when you put a techno music and my wife hate it. I can put on pictures if anyone is interested in new audio system for GTA.

G'day Sircalibre. Would like to see some shots. Just bought my GTA and need to change the stereo, as it is frankly rubbish. Would love a double-din unit.

Congrats to your new system. Can you post some pictures of the amps under the seats? What amps were used? Did they fit in well?

Okay guys I will take some pics and post back shortly. But I need to tell you that I know nothing on music system or sound. Please do not ask me too much technical questions, I will not be able to answer. However I can tell you what brand names they put in the car by looking on the empty boxes they gave me when I picked up the car :). To get the job done, I spoken to couple audio car specialist and you can tell very quickly who are the good one and who are just salesman. Those whose who are good, will take times to explain to you how the system will work and the difference between brands and you can see they know their stuff. The worst audio people are those who will start quoting you prices and putting a package together without even looking at the car. Where I end up going, they spend a bit of time going through the car and measuring sizes of speakers and the boot before starting to discuss. When I picked up the car, they told me the back speakers were very tricky to install because of the way the door was designed ( whatever that mean).
I told them I have $5000 ( australian dollar) to spend, just put the best system they can within this budget. I am pretty happy with the result. They connected the system play with the buttons on the steering wheel, the ipod is connected, the phone is connected via bluetooth etc.

Can anyone please advise how to upload photos on this website?

It is quite compact and has been installed underneath the passenger seat. You can barely see it underneath the seat.

Back Speakers
VIBE Slick 6-v3 (240W,80W) - this speakers comes with the tweeters in the middle.

Head Units
Pioneer AVIC F30BT

SubWoofer
VIBE 1350Watts Lite Air C12

If you have a photobucket account you can upload the pictures to that and then get the link codes for them and copy/paste them into the reply box on here

its free and easy to use , look forward to seeing your new system too :). i've changed the headunit in mine to a double din kenwood unit but thats all, it has the built in bluetooth for my phone/playing music and also an ipod connection which im pleased with. My car has a reverse camera (fitted by a previous owner) and thats also linked to the screen so as soon as i hit reverse it comes up on the headunit screen :)
