Hello to my new family .
I just bought an Alfa 156 2.4JTD 2003 10v and looking at rebuilding it back to its glory.
I am new to this brand and new to the happenings of the car. I am excited and from what I have been reading this is a library :teacher::read: of valuable information.
History: I bought the Alfa with a cracked gearbox (i will try to attach pics) and the car had been sitting for 4 years. it starts and sound like it has an injector knock (I have read the threads on this) but this is secondary after box is sorted and car is at least moving. I am based in South Africa.
My first question is where is the gearbox 'part' number located on the box? I am trying to buy a replacement and the dealers keep asking me for the gearbox number.. its a 5 speed manual.
Regards
Fungie
