Hi,

I've just joined, after a while reading some very helpful / informative posts.

I have a 1998 GTV Twin-spark, which I've owned for four years now.

Other Alfas that I've owned are a 156 JTD (great car), 145 2.0 and a 1971 2000GTV.

Graham.

Thanks!

The GTV seems to have that quality of feeling "special", which is hard to find in most modern cars.

Sometimes I get to drive other modern cars and am surprised by how lifeless they feel.

I haven't driven a Boxster S, but I bought some teledials from a guy who'd replaced his V6 GTV with one. Seemed to agree about that "feeling", though - he said the Porsche just didn't make you feel special when you drove it, like the Alfa did.

In fact, when I left he was talking wistfully about maybe starting to look for a Cup!
