Picked up a new lens for my camera (Canon 300D) as i only had the standard 18mm-55mm lens.

Just thought i'd throw up a before and after picture.

I bought the lens a few weeks ago but even with it mounted on a tripod, I was still getting high vibration when i pressed the shutter release button.

So off to ebay i went and bought a infrared remote to combat the vibration problem.
Both pictures where taken at night without a flash.
Can anybody see a difference :D :D

Waiting for a clear night to get some moon shots :D

BTW I use the self timer instead of the remote shutter release it take a bit longer but its a lot cheaper :D

Hang on,
the first picture is a streetlight from distance,
the 2nd is a 2 bar electric fire taken from the sofa!!

I remember having a 500m lens for my old Pentax, got some great shots with it at the odd airshow (had to use the monopod and some fast film).

It's great the difference a good lens makes.

Yes it was film and and a long time ago, must try and dig out those classic early 90s shots. (Pentax MX by the way, a really tiny 35mm SLR)

Looks like they still attract a pretty penny too;

Biggest I'm on is a Canon 10D with 200mm lens (use Genuine Fractals to blow it up).
