So I've found the "slight juddering" problem appears to be a worn out CV join on the passenger side front wheel.

My garage have ordered a new one for about £200, I reckon it's this one here:

HOWEVER, I can see them (new) on ebay for £55, thusly:

I'll be honest, I'd rather not spend an extra £145 if I don't have to, so is it worth getting the cheaper one?
Is the expensive one a rip-off, or is the £55 one some chinesium crap that's just going to fail in five minutes?

J and r are cheap but you get what you pay for, they don’t last so my advice is spend the extra and not have to do it again in 6 months

I got a drivers side driveshaft a few years ago for my car from these guys as I had the dreaded 70mph wobble because the inner cup joint had worn. Do I replace just the inner shaft or the whole shaft from these guys? Iwent for the whole shaft.

I was as they say - ordered 9 am and on my doorstep by lunchtime the next day. Though it was the whole shaft to replace with a drain of the gearbox, it swapped over with relative ease. Made a big difference.

The down side to this is that though it performed perfectly for the 9 months it was fitted (mixed town and some motorway driving) someone ran into the back of that car and wrote it off. So, I cannot comment with great faith on longevity. But, for what it's worth, if my current car needs a new shaft I'll give them a call to see what's what.
