i'm getting kynd of bored of that dull green light.i was wondering if any of you tried changing the colour.i've disasembled my center console bu i've knoticed that there is a green plastic all around the controls that uses the white light from the small bulbs.that's the problem.the green plastic.so did any of you manage to overcum this problem?hope you understood what i'm trying to do :)

I had those on my old escort, by far the best mod i have done to the car!

those are nice.i'll see if i find something like that as for the center console i'll go with coloured bulbs.thanks for the answers

Those gauges look tidy, i was on about my oil pressure, oil temp and voltmeter though:
Oh and excuse the mess :lol:

pphhawww, i like that UKSPF! Have you done a walk through on how to do that? what did you use etc! I would love 2 for my oil pressure and temp.

if you want it to light up blue you can change the white bulbs for blue leds and it will still work with the green plastic, other colours may not work so well with the green plastic though

Im gonna add three gauges (plasma) on the top of the dash in a tripple pod, just got to figure out how to do it as i want them to go where that top air vent is so as it looks a bit more standard type fit.aqualiys i pm'd you.

got the dials out(finally)and now i'm going to go with pcbuilt2k's ideea and see what comes of it thank's again for the advice.

Red is definately the way forward............. My GTV interior lights up a lovely rich red ............. I love driving it at night.

one more question.any advice on removing the needles?so they'l go back in in the right position?do i have to remove the pin that the needle rests ?

The only problem with fitting the audi gauges is the oil temp, it reads to 170degrees. Senders are only available from VDO up to 150degrees. The 150degree sender wont work with the 170 gauge, giving you an incorrect reading. I had to get a new VDO gauge with the sender to match. Fitting the gauges was one of the first mods i carried out but couldnt find the reference to claudes original post, Thanks Gialloevo :)

The Audi oil temp sender is 170deg and about £15 for a new one
