Hi, I have an 07 159 2.4 and have just put in a new battery. When putting the key in the dash lights up with a security system not available message and when the start button is depressed I just get a single beep and the dash goes dark.

Can anyone help please?

If it's just a quick release clamp, as on my Brera, it probably isn't tight enough.
Whilst the clamp is open, tap it on with a screwdriver and small hammer and then tighten clamp.
I had to do this with my new battery last month.
