Hi,

After years of driving boring euro-mobiles for work, I found myself in what might be a once in a lifetime position of being able to afford a brand new car, and when I visited the local Alfa Dealership, being able to stretch to a 1.8 156.

I’ve only had it a week or so, and I wish I’d bought an Alfa sooner. I’m driving so much the milometer is spinning like a fruit machine (well you know what I mean!!!).

I’ve always enjoyed driving, the only difference now is that I’m loving it. Can anyone recommend any clubs or meets where I can meet up with like-minded people?

Oh – BTW I’m based in Yorkshire.

Dave

But your profile says you are from Hull?!
 :D

Only kidding, Mr Speedstar, all are welcome, even those from the East Riding.
Welcome to AO and congrats on your new purchase.
;)

Date for your diary - Fort Paull, Sunday May 15th, East Riding Alfa Day. Lots of Alfas, and some big guns.

DS the Yorkshire area group of the Alfa Romeo Owners club, meets Monthly at two venue's on alternate months.
The Duke of York, (I think it's called that), is closest to you its between Stamford Bridge and York, next to Alwyn Kershaws Garage. (Alfa specialists.)

More info is on the main AROC website.

Thanks for that Mitch. I've dropped the Secretary a line (and eagerly awaiting reply), although I think that I've just missed a meeting.
