Hi guys,

My name is Tristan from Swansea, South Wales.

I've just recently taken delivery of a late 1999 T reg 166 3.0 Sportronic in a dark green with cream momo leather. She's an absolute minter. And I am enjoying her thoroughly already!

Here's a photo album I put online of my new car:

The pics are quite big, so 56k'ers beware. :)

I've already posted a few times, and this is a really great forum which I'm sure I'll be using regularly!

Cheers

Tris.

i am thinknig of buying a 99V 3.0 but it has high mileage 140K.it looks excellent as yours does and is in the pearlescence colour which is a real head turner
my main concern is the mileage obviously but there has been an engine rebuild at 110K with all receipts
anything i should look out for regarding engine noise etc as it is an auto and i dont have too much experience of those
great car by the way

Firstly, thank you all for your kind comments! :D

Mick, I'm not too sure about how good the car will be at 140k. It could be really sweet, or it could be a dog. Same with any car.
My local Alfa specialist has a 2.0 twinspark 166 and that has done over 140k too and is still running strong.

I guess that as long as it is running smoothly and there is nothing obviously wrong with it, you'll be ok. I highly recommend getting an independant mechanic to look it though, to give you peace of mind.

I had RAC to a check for me @ a cost of £121 which included getting the mechanic to phone me to give me a breakdown of how the car performed on a test drive as well as anything that may be wrong with the car.

As it happened mine turned out to be sweet apart from rear fogs not working and an illegal front tyre.

As far as the auto box goes, I don't know much about them to be honest. Only that mine is doing the job properyl ;)

I'm sure there are other guys on here though that can provide far better help than I can though.

Good luck Mick

Tris.
