Will my local Alfa place do it and anybody know how much they could roughly charge? I know it varies from place to place but any idea would be great.

Or if anyone is local to Milton Keynes and wants to help me out, theres a beer in it for them :)

Thanks

Its pretty easy to take out if you are handy with your hands.I had to fixed my mirror for my 147 last year.Do you already have the part and need someone to replace it?I'm no mechanic but I am sure you will be charge min 1hr labour plus parts if need + VAT.

I have the part but I tried taking the cap of a spare wing mirror which I found impossible to remove. Ive read the guide but the cap just wouldnt budge....guessing its glued on maybe but if was just an epic fail.
I suppose you are right about the 1hr labour charge, may give them a call just to enquiry then try myself again.
Im pretty handy when it comes to mechanics but I really struggled with this :(

What you need to do is to take off the actual wing mirror first.
1)There is a rectangular plastic case on the inside by the door.Put a flat headed screw driver to pop up open.
2Unplug the connection
3)You need a torq screw set to remove it.
4) once remove, push the mirror to as far right so the side of the left side of the mirror is sticking out
5)Pop the mirror out, again using flat headed screw driver.Be careful be push with screwdriver firmly to pop out mirror without damaging it.
6)Once you have remove, you will see the part the hold the cap.Again use screwdriver to pop it of to remove and voila the job is done.

I'll take that pint now :)
