Hi everyone,

I'd like to mount an oil catch can, but I'm not sure how to feed the hose or hoses back to the engine.

According to the photo (red lines are hoses, box is an oil catch can):

1. Why is there a valve at location 1 and no valve at location 2? What is the purpose of this valve? Valve lets the air pass only into the plenum.
2. Can I just plug the hose at number 2 (with end cap) and attach the feedback hose only to location 1? Will that cause issues?
3. Or should I use a T-piece and split the feedback hose to both 1 and 2?

Thanks for the help.

Thank you for a reply. I do not want to vent it into the atmosphere. :)

So my main concern is whether to feed the air back at the inlet before or after the throttle body. That's why I want to know the purpose of the valve, and the reasons why there is no valve at the inlet hose before the throttle body.

So you suggest to feed the air back before the throttle body.

I am planning to use an oil catch can with 2 inlets and one outlet...
