Hi,

I am going to view / test drive a 2001 156 Sportwagon 2.0 TS Selespeed Veloce tomorrow :)

I currently drive a Land Rover Discovery TDi, so it will be quite a significant change!!

Is there anything specific I should look out for, especially with the Selespeed. It has done approx 77K miles and has full service history.

Hi Gords & welcome to AO/Alfa ownership :)

Look back through the service history and establish that the all important cam belt & tensioner replacements were done at around 35K miles. Also bear in mind that at 77K miles it is due again for the second time around.

Is the service schedule available on the Internet somewhere, so I can see what should have been done?

What sort of job, cost wise, is the cam belt & tensioner?

if you go for an Indie, you are looking around the 250-300 mark, at a dealer, anything up to the 500 mark, and in some cases more !! also check that the spark plugs were changed at 60k...
