Next on the mod list were these lovely real carbon fibre eyelids from Ukcarbon. They make the basic super headlights look much more aggressive.

Pimp My Guilia 😂.
Harsh. These are all fairly subtle mods imo, the only thing I don't like is tinted windows because you're forced to have different tints front and rear (plus I don't like dark tints, although I guess they come in handy for dogging if you're a bit shy 🫣).
Are slightly tinted fronts allowed? If they were I'd go for matching fronts and rears. So there.

Out of interest Jack, how much has the sound improved with your new speakers? I assume youre still on the same amp, which I guess is fine so long as you're not playing too loud (never a good thing when you're driving).
Looking at your pics I'm slightly shocked at how crappy the standard drive units are, tiny, weedy little voice coils.

Haha! Fair enough, I prefer them and with just having the rear done it makes it look like a van. I wouldn’t want to go darker at the front otherwise it will be harder to see out. In person the fronts and rear look pretty much the same.

The sound is 10x better, I found the standard speakers had poor clarity at low volumes even my wife’s 09 plate Kuga has better standard speakers. The standard amp isn’t that bad, crank it and it’s clear as anything still with added bass.

Could you provide a link to the new drive units you used please Jack?

The standard system is rather poor, but this sounds like a decent upgrade.
It is, even though I put the subwoofer in the boot first with it turned off there is a good amount of bass from the new Hertz speakers and would be even better with the rears replaced.

Sorry for the delayed reply. These are the ones, Hertz Cento C 165 6.5" 17cm Car Door Component Woofer Speakers 70w RMS Pair | eBay UK

I will get around to buying and fitting tweeters towards the end of summer.
Thanks Jack!

You raise an interesting point, which I had wondered about. There's only one pair of Tweeters in the car and they're mounted on the rear doors, albeit towards the front.
I'd thought that the front speakers were possibly full-range, with the tweeters only for the rear passengers, but you seem to be suggesting that the tweeters serve both the front and rear of the car, correct?
So bearing that in mind, what are the matching tweeters you have in mind?
And finally, is it possible to do all this without removing the door cards, or is it a full dismantle job?
Cheers.

So for the tweeters, the are 2 in the corners of the dash towards the windscreen too.

Im looking at Hertz C26, they should fit pretty well in the original holder (hopefully) if not only need a bit of glue.

I think it will be pretty hard to replace the speakers without removing the door card. I found a couple of videos on youtube to help me remove the doorcard and isn't too bad.

Right you are about the front tweeters, I hadn't noticed! 🤦‍♂️😂
Right in the far corners of the dash, pointing straight up to use the windscreen as a sound

In actual fact I tend to prefer full range point-source speakers in any case, I wonder whether the cabling to the woofers carries a full frequency range signal (and the woofer simply fails to respond to upper frequencies), or perhaps the cabling is post-crossover?
If it were full frequency I'd probably want to fit full-range and then simply disconnect the existing tweeters.
My old Alfa GT had the Bose kit, Bose are good at making full range speakers. Obviously in the case of Bose set-ups you need their bespoke amp, which has corrective EQ built-in, specific to the car.
I'd get another quality brand of full range speaker instead.

Added these yellow tint by lamin X to the fog lights. So simply to apply compared to normal tint but comes with the price tag. Even though I’ve had them on months I am still undecided on the look.

Next purchase was these Japan Racing JR45 20inch alloys.

These were put on with the tyres that came with the car 245/35/20 so made the wheels look smaller because of the profile but made the arch gap a lot less.
