Bloomin' marvellous.

Pick up my new 2008 159 2.4 auto and drive it home. Park it, and the gear knob comes off as I put it into park. Boy was there some cursing in north east London this evening!

The little chrome ring that goes underneath doesn't seem to want to fit back in. I'll run it back to the dealer tomorrow morning, but anyone know the trick to refiitting them?

Told my 26 year old son.

"well, it's an Alfa" he said. He's on the naughty step for 3 weeks now!

Hope you get it sorted, I'm sure the dealer will fix it without question.

Also, I'm sure you can use this opportunity to educate your son in the nuances and finer pleasures of driving an Alfa. I myself am 27, and after owning my first Alfa, a Brera, for a year now, I won't look back!

P.S. Congratulations and welcome to AO
