I have never used mine TBH. It should work just by pressing the button, maybe take it back to the dealer and get it fixed. Seriously though, I know you want it to work but I wouldnt be worrying about heated seats in beast of a car like ours. You should be too busy laughing yourself silly overtaking in the smallest of gaps and listening to that sweet engine. If your cold put the climate control up a notch, put a coat on or eat some beans

 

Did only some GTA's come out with heated seats? Mine's a 2005 and doesn't have them

Yeah she's got leather seats, don't think she has the winter pack tho. I bought her 2nd hand and she's my first Alfa ever, so don't know what they come with

Yep got the headlight washers too, but I thought they came standard with the car anyway?

I must do some investigating into what my car came with when it was first purchased.

 

I'm enjoying them on mine - I leave for work at 5:30 am and they really take the edge off the cold seats.
They do take a few minutes to warm up, but if your lights not coming on then it sounds like they aren't working - have you checked the fuses?

TBH, they're rubbish. That engine warms up so quickly you'll be blasting out warm air before the seats warm up.

Mine have never worked properly. Driver's side one works for a few minutes then cuts out never to be seen again. Passenger one is even more hit and miss. Doesn't spoil the driving experience though so not that fussed about getting it fixed

 

Its all about the driving isnt it peeps

 

Mine work fine and get toastie warm.

I did have to get a replacement switch at the end of last year (about £20) but in the mean time i swapped the drivers switch with the passenger.

Mine work great and are hot within a minute or two.

Mine blew a fuse a while back (30 amp) but when that happens the electric adjustment goes too. If you are getting lights and no action it sounds like the pad or the connection to the pad is dead and you will need to strip the seat to find that out.

Does the other one work?

 

I'm fitting 2005 to my 2003 156. The new leather seats have electric switches, should I expect fuses etc to be still in place even though the car didnt come with electric heated seats originally?

 

Mine get quite warm, but then I have the power of fartiness adding to it!

Seriously, mine do get quite warm, but take 5 mins to do so. I suspect a loose connection somewhere in the seat.

What I thought was a heating switch turns out to be a inclination adjuster with my new leather seats in place. Much firmer than my old cloth ones.

Heated seats are noce and don't get too hot, the ones in a beemer we tried were stupidly hot after a few seconds

 

Yes the ones on my Dads X3 are hot to the touch within 30 seconds and are way too hot. They feel like you've just sat on a plastic deck chair thats been exposed to the sun for most of the day! OUCH!

 

i dont know how weird this is but i think the seats work. i believe the back of the seat actually warmed up yesterday and then switched itself off after a while. is this correct?
